Women’s first team coach

Our Women’s team are competing in the championship league and are looking for a coach for the 2023 season and beyond.  

Reporting to the committee through the chair you will be responsible for coaching and managing a successful team whilst working closely with the committee and director of football to create a pathway from junior girls football through to our first women’s team. Our short-term goals include creating a development / reserves team to support the first team whilst continuing to aim for further promotions at first team level. 

The team has a good mixture of senior and youth/development players, with 5 of our youth players transitioning to first team football during the 2022 season. We are looking for a motivated coach that is passionate about Women’s football and is committed to building on this strong foundation, continuing to foster development and attract new players to create a competitive squad.  

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Player management including commitment of existing players and recruitment of new players
  •  Assisting the committee with the goal of creating a reserves / development team
  • Creating a positive environment whilst driving high standards for players. 

We require you to hold or be working towards a minimum accreditation of an OFC / NZF C Licence or the international equivalent and have the right to work in New Zealand.

Metro FC are looking to appoint a Head Coach for their Lotto NRFL Division One Team in 2023

We are looking for a motivated coach who shares the same vision and values for the side as the club.

The successful candidate must hold a minimum of the NZF/OFC C Licence or higher to meet the requirements of the competition.

The club has entered into an MoU with NZ's most successful club, Auckland City FC, and this relationship provides an exciting opportunity to have support from the country's best 

whilst working to develop a successful team to challenge for promotion in the 2023 season.

Men’s first team coach

Reporting to the committee through the chair you will be responsible for coaching and managing a successful team with the short-term goal of earning promotion into NRFL Division 2.  

The club is seeking a highly motivated individual who has the ability to work well both autonomously and as part of a team whilst representing Te Atatu AFC’s culture on and off the field. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a positive team environment
  • Driving high standards for players and support staff of the first team
  • Extensive player management including commitment of existing players and recruitment of new players
  • Working closely with the reserves coach and director of football, with the goal of continuing to develop our pathway from youth through to first team football 

We require you to hold or be working towards a minimum accreditation of an OFC / NZF C Licence or the international equivalent and have the right to work in New Zealand.

Birkenhead United AFC: Talent Development Programme Coach

Birkenhead United AFC is a New Zealand National League club and has recently established itself as a high-quality NZF accredited Talent Development Programme.

The club is looking for a part-time coach to work with one of our youth teams within the TDP programme to join us from late October 2022.We are looking for a person with the following attributes:

Essential

  • Minimum NZF C license (or overseas equivalent)
  • Willingness to learn and challenge convention in player development
  • Well organised, good communicator and punctual
  • Ability to work with a team and in a co-coaching context
  • Player centred coaching approach
  • No ego
  • Experience coaching players aged 12-17

Desirable

  • NZF B licence or higher (or overseas equivalent)
  • Desire to work across more than one group (depending on availability)
  • Variety of experience in high quality development environments within New Zealand or overseas
  • Skills or experience in athlete development, video analysis, strength and conditioning or sports science
