AMUFC open with away win

Auckland-Manukau United FC got off the mark quickly in the National Youth League on Sunday with a 3-1 victory away to Waikato FC.

Rory Turner, an Auckland Football National Age Group representative in 2009, Alexi Davis-Campbell and Sean Lovemore were the scorers for the Auckland franchise.

Meanwhile, Waitakere United also put three goals away in their 3-0 win over Hawke's Bay United.

Bay Olympic and Lotto NRFL AllStar Arash Sadeghi grabbed one of the visiting side's goals while an Hawke's Bay own goal and a Jade Mathias effort accounted for the other two.

This weekend's match-ups see Waitakere United host Auckland at Fred Taylor Park on Saturday at 5pm while Auckland-Manukau travel to Park Island to meet Hawke's Bay United on Sunday at 11am.
