Drury United – Head Coach

Drury Utd FC is seeking a progressive coach to lead our Div 1 first team in the 2018 season and beyond.

It’s exciting times in the far south of the Federation where we have big plans afoot with Franklin Utd, a new Youth Academy and grounds improvements in our future.

With membership growing every season, we’ve moved from defining ourselves as “the best little club in Auckland” to aspiring to be “the most progressive club in Auckland”.

Our growth will only continue at pace as our region’s population explodes. We seek a coach who can lead our 1st team to promotion and work in with our youth pathway.

Winning is always the goal but development and fitting in with our club culture is more important. We’re a friendly, engaging club and welcome applications.

To apply or discuss, please contact Club President Matt Hooks: druryutdfootball@gmail.com or 021 502 501

All applications must be received by the 20th November 2017.

Franklin United
Posted: 10 October, 2017
Closes: 30 October, 2017

Franklin United – Want to play the long game….?

No, neither do we… but when it comes to the development of our Franklin community youth, we are in it for the long haul.  And this is why Franklin United are creating a Youth Academy to start in 2018.

Our philosophy for Franklin United Youth Academy (FUYA!) is about development, not purely winning.  We support the ‘Ole Way’ and our aim is to create players that can unlock complex football situations with intelligence and style while taking risks.  Franklin United (FU) member club DUFC have been building on this approach with the South Auckland Elite Academy since 2013.

We are looking for a FU Technical Director (TD) to lead our newly created academy and continue the style we have adopted.  It goes like this….

  1. All teams must play an attacking, attractive and entertaining brand of football.
  2. All teams must play fair.
  3. All teams must try to win the game, but not at the expense of steps 1 and 2.

Ultimately our aim is to produce players to play NRFL football as a stepping stone to brighter whiter things……!

Please submit your application with cover letter to: jimefranklinunited@gmail.com

Detailed Role Summary available here.
