Coach Education in February

Coach Education courses for February

Auckland Football Federation is pleased to announce registrations are open for a Senior Level 1 and Youth Level 2 coaching awards to be held at Mount Albert Grammar and Onehunga Sports Waikaraka Park.

The Senior Level 1 coaching award takes place on 12 February and is the first step for coaches of adult players.  This one day course will provide information on how to organise coaching sessions while working on specific areas of technical development.

The Youth Level 2: Player Centred Coaching module is happening the week after on Sunday 19 February.  This course builds on knowledge learnt in the Youth Level 1, and specifically looks at creating an environment where players can take responsibility and ownership of their learning. With minimum coaching qualifications being introduced in to the Metropolitan Youth League in 2017, this will be the first opportunity for coaches working in this space to begin their accreditation.

Both courses include theoretical and practical elements with staff & candidate-led seminars and practical demonstrations highlighting world’s best practice.
